Jordani Multimedia (JM) is a Minneapolis based consulting group that orchestrates, designs, and develops multimedia resources and other custom software for the design and construction industry.

A joint venture of the Jordani Consulting Group (http://www.jordani.com) andMcTeer Systems, Inc. (wmcteer@jordani.com), JM is a collaborative effort of business, technical, and creative backgrounds. Modeled as a virtual corporation, JM has established a network of specialized resources that can be called upon to meet the requirements of even the most demanding projects. JM understands the opportunities for electronic information systems in the design and construction industries. Most important, we understand what success means in the context of our clients' business.

The principals, David A. Jordani, FAIA, and William McTeer, CCP, have established a reputation for delivering professional grade, creative solutions. Their efforts have included work for American Express Corporation, Disney Development Company, IBM, AT&T, 3M, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and numerous government agencies and design service firms. A recent effort for Marvin Windows resulted in an expert system for product selection and specification that was selected as the best product in the "Wholesale and Retail Distribution" category at the Windows World Open sponsored by Microsoft, Computerworld, and Windows World.

JM was responsible for the design and development of AGS CD-ROM Version 1.0. Authored by the American Institute of Architects, Architectural Graphic Standards (AGS) is the classic reference work for design professionals. Version 1.0 of AGS CD-ROM received the prestigious Technology Leader Award from Cadence Magazine. Version 1.0 also quickly surpassed initial sales goals. Due to the success of Version 1.0, Wiley retained JM to continue work with the title. Version 2.0 of AGS CD-ROM improves upon its predecessor with direct links to Web sites for Product Manufacturers, Trade, and Professional Associations. Now, for the first time, AGS CD-ROM Version 3.0 is being released simultaneously with the print Edition. Each copy of the 10th Edition will contain a demo AGS CD-ROM. Please see the AGS CD-ROM Project Page for more information.

Advanced software development skills and a broad base of experience in the design and construction industry were the reasons John Wiley & Sons, Inc. selected JM to develop the electronic version of the essential industry reference, Architectural Graphic Standards (AGS). JM's role in the project has been to partner with Wiley in all phases, from conception through final production. Initial stages included conducting focus groups to identify market requirements, analysis of content re-purposing strategies, and evaluations of competitive and potential companion products.

JM's efforts continued with a review of commercially available authoring products, data conversion analysis, and preparation of a detailed software development model. Implementation of the project included precise data conversion and creation, custom software development, user interface design, and thorough testing including a two-phase beta test cycle.

JM's maintained involvement with AGS CD-ROM includes client support, marketing analysis, Web updates, data conversion overview, and monitoring industry trends looking forward to Version 3.0.

The success of AGS CD-ROM results from JM's strong partnership with the publisher, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and involvement from the original editors, the American Institute of Architects. A close working relationship with clients is part of JM's business and development philosophy.
